SA premier looks to boost China trade

South Australian Premier Steven Marshall will visit China over the next few days as he seeks to grow trade opportunities.

South Australian Premier Steven Marshall is heading to China as the state government forges ahead with plans to open a trade office in Shanghai.

Mr Marshall will attend the Port Adelaide AFL game against the Gold Coast Suns and will also meet business groups over the next few days.

"China is South Australia's biggest export partner, worth more than $2.3 billion, and it is imperative that the state government continues to increase trade and investment links with this key market," Mr Marshall said ahead of his departure on Thursday.
