Residents of South Australia are being told to action their bushfire survival plans, with a heatwave forecast to last through the weekend.
Fire danger is forecast for the West Coast Total Fire Ban district, the Eastern EyrePeninsula, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Yorke Peninsula, Mount Lofty Ranges and Lower South East Total Fire Ban districts.
The Country Fire Service says fires in these areas are likely to be fast moving and uncontrollable.
Hot and dry conditions are also expected across Victoria this weekend and into next week.

Meanwhile, residents of the York Town and Beaconsfield areas of northern Tasmania are being warned to be ready to implement their bushfire plans, as around 50 firefighters tackle a blaze.
No homes are under threat at the moment and the fire is within control lines, but the fire service has told the ABC that winds have picked up and the fire is causing some fresh concern.
The blaze has already burnt around 2,200 hectares since it started on 2nd January and is being fought with water bombing helicopters as well as ground crews.
