A man accused of robbing a woman with a metal pole has been caught with a "find my iPhone" app in Adelaide.

The 36-year-old allegedly stole the victim's backpack, money and phone at a southern suburbs train station before police used the app to track him to a nearby home on Monday.

The man was refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with aggravated robbery.
