SA set for high-tech jobs bonanza

The South Australian government has outlined grants of $40 million to create jobs in high-tech industries.

More than 3000 jobs will be created in high-tech industries as South Australia attempts to move away from traditional manufacturing.

Almost 60 projects in industries ranging from biomedical research, IT and renewable energy will share $40 million in grants as part of the state government's Future Jobs Fund, Premier Jay Weatherill says.

"We want South Australia to be a leader in health, IT, renewable energy, defence and tourism, and the Future Jobs Fund is central to realising that goal," Mr Weatherill said on Monday.
