The saga of a female Cricket Australia staffer sacked for criticising the Tasmanian government's abortion policy on social media has ended with an out-of-court settlement.
Angela Williamson had planned to take CA to the federal court, alleging she was unfairly dismissed in June from her Tasmania-based role for expressing a political opinion.
But a statement, released by CA and Ms Willamson's lawyers on Friday, said the two parties had come to an agreement.
"Following ongoing discussions, Cricket Australia, Cricket Tasmania and Angela Williamson have been able to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution of the matter," the statement read.
The details of the agreement are confidential.
Ms Williamson had travelled to Victoria earlier this year for an abortion after being unable to access services in Tasmania.
She shared her story about having a termination on social media and later tweeted on May 28.
"So you share your story, hoping it convinces the gov to act urgently and five months later - NOTHING. NO meeting with the Premier. NO results...".
Ms Williamson described a speech on abortion by Tasmanian Health Minister Michael Ferguson in state parliament the "most irresponsible, gutless & reckless delivery in parly ever".
She was sacked from her government relations role on June 29, with CA noting the disparaging tone of her tweets.
Ms Williamson had sought compensation for loss of income, damage to reputation, humiliation, distress and anxiety.
The federal court case was due to begin next week.
Her dismissal attracted international headlines, plus an online petition with more than 34,000 signatures calling for better abortion services in Tasmania.
Ms Williamson had accused Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgman and Mr Ferguson of meddling in her sacking.
She alleged Cricket Tasmania boss Nick Cummins told her Mr Hodgman was lying when he told her he had not raised concerns with CA about her Twitter posts.
She also alleged Mr Hodgman and Mr Ferguson had expressed disappointment in her behaviour before Cricket Tasmania sacked her.
Mr Hodgman, Mr Ferguson and Mr Cummins have repeatedly denied accusations they were involved in Ms Williamson's sacking.
