West Australian school leavers heading to their end of year celebrations are being urged to play it safe on the roads and also in the bedroom.
Year 12 students across the state will spend next week at events to mark the end of their schooling, particularly at favourite spots like Rottnest Island and Dunsborough.
For many school leavers, the drive to these celebrations are their first solo road trip, which means they need to be extra cautious.
Road Safety Commissioner Kim Papalia told school leavers to keep their mobile phones in the glovebox while driving and be proactive with their safety.
"If you see something that makes you feel uncomfortable, if you feel unsafe, say something - don't just allow accidents to occur," he said.

WA's road toll for this year so far is 162, exceeding the 2015 total of 161.
"We can't have a police officer in every car, so the decisions the driver makes will fundamentally contribute to better outcomes or tragic circumstance," Mr Papalia said.
Parents are encouraged to do a car safety check with their children and have a conversation about coming home safely.
WA Health is encouraging school leavers to have safe sex during end of school celebrations, and to take a free online STI assessment if they don't use a condom.
The department says their couldihaveit.com.au site offers a self-assessment which suggests if they need an STI test and offers a referral form for their doctor.
