AFL Saints captain Nick Riewoldt has denied knowing a girl who posted nude photos of him and several of his teammates online 'for revenge'.

Riewoldt said the photos had been taken by teammate Sam Gilbert when he got out of bed, and added that he had asked they be deleted.

He said he was unaware the photos still existed when the girl posted them on her Facebook page recently.

He is seen posing in the images, which he says were taken in Miami 12 months ago.

"For the record, I have never met the person who published the photos," he told reporters.

"They have caused great distress to myself and my girlfriend," he added.

"It's very hard for me to understand the motivation when I don't know the person involved," he said.

The same teenager alleged she became pregnant after a liaison with a Saints player earlier this year.

Takedown order

The Federal Court on Monday issued an order restraining the teenager from posting photos on Facebook until a second hearing on December 23, and she said her Facebook account had been closed down.

The teen has threatened to release more photos of players in defiance of the court order, after she published explicit photos of St Kilda players Riewoldt, Zac Dawson and Nick Dal Santo.

She has now taken to Twitter to continue to air her grievances.

The naked photos have gone viral after Facebook reportedly shut down several pages on which the images were posted.

The 17-year-old girl reportedly said she met players at a high school football coaching clinic and later re-introduced herself to them in Sydney after the club's round one match against the Swans on March 27.

But the AFL and St Kilda said the two players did not meet the girl until after the round-one game.

Dispute over source

The Herald Sun newspaper has been told the photos were obtained from a player's computer, but the girl says she took them in a Melbourne hotel room this year.

In one of her Twitter posts, the girl said her Facebook account had been deleted.

She said she released the photos because she wanted revenge.

The girl also commented on the Federal Court injunction.

"So, Tell me how I have a 'court order' against me, I haven't been served this 'order', or even been contacted by the police?" she tweeted.

A statement released by St Kilda on Monday
said the club has been made aware that an image of two of its players had been posted on the internet.

"The club can confirm that the image was not distributed with the players' consent.

"The club can also confirm that the photo was not taken by the person responsible for posting it online and believes that it was obtained illegally.

"As the matter is subject to discussions between St Kilda Football Club, Victoria Police and its legal representatives, the club is not in a position to make any further comment at this stage."
