Salmonella salad investigation continues

Victorian health authorities are still looking into the source of the salmonella outbreak that saw pre-packaged salads recalled.

The number of probable cases linked to a salmonella outbreak linked to pre-packaged salad has jumped to 144 in Victoria.

The department of health is still investigating the outbreak, which led to Tripod Farmers voluntarily recalling salads from supermarkets with a best-before date of February 14.

There are 144 cases of salmonella in Victoria suspected to be linked to the salad, up from 99 the week before, and number of confirmed cases remains the same at nine.
