Marlon Samuels has been cleared to resume bowling following remedial work and reassessment of his action.

The veteran West Indies batsman has been unable to bowl his part-time off-breaks since being reported for the second time for a suspected illegal action in the Galle Test against Sri Lanka in October 2015, and receiving a subsequent 12-month ban in December that year.

But tests in Loughborough last month demonstrated his elbow extension is again within the permitted 15-degree level for all deliveries.

Samuels, 36, has taken 41 wickets in his 71 Tests and a further 104 in 238 white-ball international matches.
