One-time US Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has finally pinned one back on comedienne, Saturday Night Live alumna and ’30 Rock’ creator Tina Fey.
Fey, who famously portrayed Ms Palin in a number of skits on Saturday Night Live, has now gotten a taste of her own medicine with Palin taking on Fey’s character from ’30 Rock’, Liz Lemon, in a spoof.
In a 90 second fake trailer for what has been dubbed ’31 Rock’, Palin stars as Lynn Melon, a neurotic but successful Tv writer “who left a small town for the big city”.
Palin does a solid job in mimicking Fey’s witty retorts and behaviour.
Palin’s former running mate, John McCain, makes a fleeting cameo appearance playing Melon’s boss - a nod to Alec Baldwin’s ‘Jack Donaghy’ from the show, as does failed Republican candidate Lindsay Graham.
It comes days after Fey reprised her caricature of Palin to co-host Saturday Night Live, joined on stage by Amy Poehler as Hillary Clinton.
Ms Palin’s parody video is actually a commercial for her new book ‘Sweet Freedom: A Devotional’.
