Saville suffers first-round Wimbledon exit

Luke Saville has been knocked out of Wimbledon with a first-round defeat to the USA's Dennis Novikov.

Luke Saville has joined Sam Groth as a Wimbledon first-round casualty following a four-set defeat to American qualifier Dennis Novikov.

The Australian qualifier started promisingly, taking the first set, before going down 4-6 6-4 7-5 6-4 in two hours and 27 minutes on Tuesday.

Novikov will next face either Portuguese 31st seed Joao Sousa or Russian Dmitry Tursunov for a third round spot.
