Saving Afghanistan's "dancing boys"

A Hazara photojournalist who fled Afghanistan after exposing government officials' involvement in the prostitution of young boys says more needs to be done to stop the practice.

 

Barat Ali Batoor has documented Bacha Baazi or 'playing with kids' in his exhibition 'The Dancing Boys of Afghanistan.'*

 

Soon after his photographs were published in a US newspaper last year, Mr Batoor received death threats and fled the country, eventually making his way to Australia as a refugee.

Mr Batoor told Hannah Sinclair the problem of child prostitution in Afghanistan is becoming worse.
