SBS News has undergone an extensive rebranding which features a new-look website, app and television bulletin to continue bringing national and international headlines from Australia's most trusted news team.

The refreshed SBS News website, which launched on Wednesday 6 December, offers a sleek new interface and streaming services to meet the growing consumer demand for video on mobile, tablet and desktop devices.

Along with the new website, an interactive mobile app will be released on 11 December and offers a better user experience, more intuitive navigation and greater personalisation of news.

The app will include push notifications to keep busy users up-to-date with breaking headlines.

The SBS World News TV bulletin will feature a new logo, refreshed graphics and renovated studio where host Janice Petersen will continue to bring Australians their news from 6.30pm today.

The digital and broadcast platforms covered in the rebrand include SBS World News, Insight Dateline, The Feed, Small Business Secrets and the SBS News website.

"We've given SBS News a new look and new capabilities to reflect SBS's digital first strategy that aims to put audiences at the heart of everything we do," SBS's Director of News and Current Affairs Jim Carroll said.

"In a time when trust is more important than ever, we want Australians to know they can continue to rely on SBS News to deliver the highest quality, most trusted news from around the country and the world across television, radio and digital platforms."
