SBS scores nine Logie nominations

SBS has scored nine nominations for this year’s Logie Awards, including two for Most Outstanding Public Affairs Report.

The shortlist for the annual Logie Awards, coordinated by TV Week, was announced over the weekend.

The Feed and Insight were both nominated for Most Outstanding Public Affairs Report, for “Ice Towns”, produced by Lanneke Hargreaves and Joel Tozer, and “Joining the Fight” episodes respectively.
First Contact was shortlisted for Most Outstanding Factual Program, while NITV scored three separate nominations.



The Marngrook Footy Show was nominated for Most Popular Sports Program, while NITV News was also shortlisted in the Most Outstanding News Coverage category for their "Moree" report.

Move It Mob Style was also nominated for Most Outstanding Children’s Program.

Legally Brown was nominated for Most Outstanding Comedy Program and Silvia Colloca was shortlisted for the Graham Kennedy Award For Most Outstanding Newcomer for her show, “Made In Italy With Silvia Colloca”.



SBS also was shortlisted in the Most Outstanding Sports Coverage category for coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

SBS CEO Michael Ebeid said he was "thrilled" with the nominations, which recognise programs across of the broadcasters free-to-air channels.

"This is an absolutely brilliant achievement," he said. 

"Recognised as TV’s night of nights, The Logies have been running for over half a century, and it is just fantastic for SBS to be up there once again competing amongst the best in the industry."

Winners of the 57th TV Week Logie Awards will be announced on May 3.
