World News Australia senior correspondent Brian Thomson won the TV News award for his story Unfinished Business about a political stalemate in Papua New Guinea.
Dateline's Yaara Bou Melhem took out the TV Current Affairs award for her series on human rights in Syria and Bahrain.

The ground breaking series Go Back to Where You Came From won the awards for TV Documentary and Promotion of Multicultural issues.
SBS World News Radio also won its category for a report on aboriginal deaths in custody over the last 20 years since the Royal Commission.
In other categories, West Australian journalist Steve Pennells won Best Print News for his story about the Malaysian Asylum Seeker debate.
He also won Best Print Feature, as well as the Best Photo Journalism award for his work on the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya.
