Scarlett Johansson hates 'ScarJo' nickname

US actress Scarlett Johansson says she hates the abbreivated nickname 'ScarJo' and wants her followers to drop it for good.

Scarlett Johansson has urged fans to stop calling her 'ScarJo' as she finds the nickname tacky and insulting.

The actress admits she hates the abbreviation and wants her followers to drop it for good.

"I associate that name with, like, pop stars. It sounds tacky. It's lazy and flippant ... There's something insulting about it."

The actress goes on reveal she wants fans to see her in a more grown-up light.

"When I made Lost in Translation, I was 17. Now I'm 2.

"That's a normal side effect of being a young actor. You're captured in a certain time of your life, and it's hard for people to move past that," Johansson said.
