Schools remain closed due to WA bushfires

Four primary schools in Western Australia's south will remain closed next week as firefighters tackle deadly blazes around Esperance.

Schools in Western Australia's Esperance region will remain closed next week as firefighters try to contain a blaze that has killed four people.

Primary schools in Scaddan, Grass Patch, Salmon Gums and Cascade have been closed since Wednesday.

They will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday, the Department of Education says, as firefighters try to gain the upper hand with the blaze.
