British newspaper the Daily Mirror believes that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is very close to signing up Australian Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, to solve the North London side's Goalkeeping woes.
Schwarzer could be the answer to Arsenal's problems at the back, with Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski being recognised as one of the club's major weaknesses in their quest for the Premier League title this season.
It is believed that because of his veteran age Schwarzer, aged 37 should come cheaper than other reported targets.

Schwarzer is currently playing for west London club Fulham, and has won plaudits for his work at Craven Cottage since his move from Middlesbrough in 2008, winning the club's player of the year award in 2008-2009.
He also won a player of the month award in this year's installment of the Premier League.
Schwarzer is currently with the Australian team at the World Cup in South Africa and is the Socceroo's fourth most capped male footballer.
