The Perth Scorchers have scored their second win of the WBBL season, accounting for the Melbourne Renegades by 32 runs on Thursday.
Renegades skipper Rachel Priest won the toss and sent the Scorchers in under the roof at Etihad Stadium as wild weather swept through Melbourne.
Perth made 5-155 from their 20 overs, with Melbourne suffering a middle-order collapse as they fell short with 7-123.
Scorchers opener Elyse Villani smashed nine fours, five of them coming from one over, in her match-winning innings of 60 from 43 balls before she was caught by Georgia Wareham off the bowling of Danni Wyatt.
"I was lucky enough that Lea Tahuhu gave me a few shorter balls," Villani said.
"I like playing the pull shot, it's a bit of a compulsive shot for me, so I was happy to get those away.
"But we haven't quite nailed the perfect game yet, and that's what we're after."
Molly Strano was the pick of the Renegades' bowlers with figures of 2-25.
Opener Sophie Molineux was important for the Renegades as they started their run chase brightly, but when she fell for 37 from 34 balls it sparked a collapse her side couldn't recover from.
Emma King and Heather Graham each snared two wickets each for the Scorchers.
