Scotland make two changes for New Zealand test

Fagerson comes in at prop for WP Nel who broke his arm in the 44-38 test win over Samoa at Murrayfield last weekend.

South African-born Du Preez will win a fourth cap at number eight in place of the injured Ryan Wilson who has not recovered from a shoulder injury.

Fagerson and Du Preez moved up from the bench last week and Simon Berghan and uncapped Luke Hamilton will take their places among the replacements at Murrayfield on Saturday.

“The task of facing New Zealand is one of the biggest challenges in sport and one that our players relish. They have been in brilliant form this season and continue to set very high standards whenever they play,” Townsend said.

Scotland seek a first-ever win over the All Blacks in their 31st clash since 1905 – one of the longest running winless streaks in world sport.

The Scots host Australia on Nov. 25 in the last of their three November internationals.

Team: 15-Stuart Hogg, 14-Tommy Seymour, 13-Huw Jones, 12-Alex Dunbar, 11-Lee Jones, 10-Finn Russell, 9-Ali Price, 8-Cornell du Preez, 7-Hamish Watson, 6-John Barclay (captain), 5-Jonny Gray, 4-Ben Toolis, 3-Zander Fagerson, 2-Stuart McInally, 1-Darryl Marfo.
