Priests in all five hundred Roman Catholic parishes in Scotland have read out a letter,
criticising the devolved Government's plans to introduce gay marriage.
Last month, Ministers announced proposals to make Scotland the first part of Britain to legalise same-sex marriage.
Priests said they are 'deeply dissapointed' that the Scottish government has decided to 'redefine' marriage and reiterated their views of marriage as 'a life-long union between a man and a woman.'
