US artist Fatman Scoop wants to meet Scott Morrison and "discuss politics", with the prime minister appearing to accept the offer.
On Thursday, Mr Morrison posted an 11-second clip of Question Time that showed Coalition MPs raising their hands in unison to Fatman Scoop's track Be Faithful.
Some of the song's lyrics – but not those in the clip – contain sexual references.
Mr Morrison later deleted the tweet and apologised, saying the "full lyrics" of the song were "just not okay".
Fatman Scoop responded via Instagram on Friday night.
"I am humbled to have my voice rocking in the highest offices of the Australian Government!" he said.
"It's a humbling experience to be recognised by a high official (either Scott or his people thought of me)."
The artist then said he "just doesn't know why they took it down", adding that it's "a fun PARTY SONG that has no NEGATIVITY or HARM in it!!"
"As well as the fact that when my song was really ROCKING Scott was probably in the CLUBS! Hahahahaha!"

He finished the post by inviting the prime minster to come to his Australian R&B Fridays concerts in November, "to watch, dance, and after in the backstage area discuss politics with me".
Mr Morrison later tweeted, "definitely keen for R&B Fridays".
"Btw, probably best to send me the PG radio version next time."
'A bit of fun'
In a press conference on Friday, the prime minister said the clip was just a "bit of fun".
"It's quite clear that that's not a song that's on my play list," Mr Morrison said, suggesting he might choose a Tina Arena track next time.
"Look, we're just trying to connect honestly with people. And some of the narcs will get a bit worked up about this sort of thing.
"I think people think Australians think politicians can take themselves a bit too seriously at times."
