Hobbled Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury has escaped serious injury and is a chance to face the Western Bulldogs on Friday night.
But the news isn't as good for Alex Fasolo and Tim Broomhead, who both underwent season-ending shoulder surgeries on Monday.
Pendlebury suffered a foot injury early in the last quarter of the Pies' loss to Richmond at the MCG and was unable to play out the game.
But Magpies football chief Neil Balme reported on Monday that scans showed he had suffered no serious issues in the incident.
"He certainly hurt his foot but we had a scan straight away and fortunately there were no cracks or fractures," Balme told the club's website.

"He's a little bit sore but he's a reasonable chance of getting up for this week.
"He'll need to train but he's certainly (only) a short-term test."
Fasolo kicked 25 goals in 12 senior appearances this season before injuring his shoulder, while Broomhead managed just two AFL games.
Exciting young forward Darcy Moore missed the loss to the Tigers with a hamstring injury, but he is also a chance to play against the Dogs.
"He's running pretty well and he's a decent chance for this week," Balme said.
"He'll need to train well and tested but we won't take any risks with him."
The Pies continue to take a conservative approach to Ben Sinclair's recovery from persistent concussion symptoms. He will be assessed further at training this week.
