Queensland veteran Matt Scott could miss the State of Origin opener after being cited for a shoulder charge in Friday's NRL defeat to Melbourne.
However, in some good news for Maroons coach Kevin Walters, Storm forward Felise Kaufusi is available for selection despite being put on report for a cannonball tackle.
The match review committee on Saturday charged North Queensland prop Scott with a grade-one offence for a hit on Melbourne's Young Tonumaipea, which will cost him one match unless he fights it.
Scott appeared to have his right arm tucked in a collision with Tonumaipea in the 11th minute that resulted in the Storm centre failing to play the ball correctly.
The tackle went unpunished by the on-field officials and missed by Nine Network commentators, while Cowboys players and coach Paul Green applauded the play.
Melbourne's Kaufusi escaped a charge after being put on report, allowing him to remain in contention to be named on Monday in the Queensland team for Origin I in Melbourne on June 6.
