Search ends for man overboard off WA

There have been no sightings of a crewman believed to have fallen overboard from a bulk carrier off WA's northern coast.

The search for a crew member believed to have fallen from a bulk carrier off Western Australia's Pilbara coast has been called off.

An Australian Maritime Safety Authority spokesman said the man was last seen on the Spring Hydrangea at 10am (WST) on Saturday when the vessel was 150km north of Dampier en route to China.

Several aircraft and vessels covered a 670 sq km search area over two days but found no trace of the man.
