Search for car after NSW policeman struck

A search is on for a car with stolen number plates after an officer was allegedly struck on the NSW Central Coast.

A policeman has allegedly been struck by a car with stolen number plates on the NSW Central Coast.

The senior constable officer suffered a laceration to his head and a knee injury and is in a stable condition following the incident in Wyoming shortly after midday on Monday.

The policeman was struck after a pursuit when he got out of his and was hit by a car described as a grey coloured 1990s model Mitsubishi Magna with NSW number plates YOW279.

Anyone who sights the vehicle is urged to contact police immediately.
