A search has been suspended for a 69-year-old Perth grandmother who has been missing for more than two weeks.

Mary Ann Nix was last seen about 7am on April 1 in Bassendean and her car was found some 70km north in Bindoon last week.

Farmers were asked to inspect their sheds and out-buildings, as local police, mounted officers, the airwing unit and SES volunteers extensively searched the Bindoon area.

But on Thursday, police said the search had been "suspended pending further information coming forward".

"The investigation into the disappearance of Mary Ann Nix will continue," a police spokesman said.
