A search for four rock fishermen on the NSW Central Coast was to continue at dawn but police hold grave fears for the group's welfare after a woman's body was discovered yesterday at the southern end of Catherine Hill Bay.

The search was suspended last night in waters off Frazer Park after the body was discovered at Flat Bed Rock but Polair, water police, NRMA CareFlight and National Parks and Wildlife Services will resume the search at first light this morning.

Police initially believed there were four in the party but were informed late yesterday that a 25-year-old man had been added to the group of Sydneysiders.

Two couples aged between 56 and 63 were initially reported missing to Parramatta police after failing to return from the fishing trip by midnight (AEST) on Sunday.
