The search is intensifying for an EgyptAir passenger plane that disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea.

The Airbus A320 was carrying 66 passengers and crew from Paris to Cairo.

Officials say the plane made sharp turns before plunging thousands of metres and then disappearing off the radar.
