Search on for driver after fatal Vic crash

Police are searching for the driver of a silver or grey vehicle following a fatal crash in Shepparton that left a man dead.

Police are appealing for the driver and passengers of a vehicle, believed to be silver or grey, to come forward following a fatal crash in regional Victoria.

One man died and five others were taken to Melbourne hospitals after a Ford sedan lost control and collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction in Tatura, near Shepparton, on Thursday afternoon.

It's believed the silver vehicle had overtaken the Ford shortly before it lost control, police said.
