Search underway for three people buried after an avalanche in Poland

A search and rescue team was on its way to help the victims.

Three people have been buried in an avalanche in southern Poland, media reports say.

Wednesday's avalanche happened in the Tatra Mountains, rescue services TOPR was quoted as saying by private TV broadcaster TVN24.

Private radio RMF FM separately said a rescue team in a helicopter was on its way to help victims.
