Separate fatal motorcycle crashes in NSW

Two men have died in two separate multi-vehicle crashes in NSW - both of which involved motorcycles.

A male motorcyclist has died after he collided with another motorcycle and hit a tree in northeast NSW.

Three motorcycles were travelling near Tamworth about midday on Sunday when one collided with another before leaving the roadway and hitting a tree, NSW Police said in a statement.

The 59-year-old male rider died at the scene while another male rider was flown to Tamworth Hospital with suspected fractures.

The other rider and female pillion on the third bike were uninjured.

About the same time on Sunday in Sydney's south, a motorcyclist died following a multi-vehicle smash involving two cars and three motorcycles in the Royal National Park.

The male rider died at the scene while two others were taken to St George Hospital - one in a critical condition and the other in a serious condition.

Both car drivers, a man and a woman, weren't injured and were taken to Sutherland Hospital for mandatory testing, police said in a statement.

The crash occurred after midday on the main road running through the national park, a popular destination for riders, particularly on weekends.
