Services failing migrant needs: Vic audit

The Victorian Auditor General's Office says government services in the state are failing to keep up with the evolving needs of migrant and refugee demographics.

The Victorian Auditor General's Office says government services in the state are failing to keep up with the evolving needs of migrant and refugee demographics.

In its latest report, its found that when it came to migrants and refugees, government agencies were more likely to work in isolation, resulting in a lack of accountability in the services provided.

 The Chairman of the Ethnic Communities' Council of Victoria Eddie Micallef, says the report should prompt the state government into action.

He spoke with Peggy Giakoumelos.
