A major search is underway to find seven people, including three boys, who failed to return from a fishing trip in northwest Queensland.
The group set out on Friday afternoon from the small community of Doomadgee for one of two islands about 26 kilometres away and were due to return on Sunday.
However, they were reported missing by family members after they failed to return home.
The group consists of four men, aged 22 to 40, and three boys aged six, eight and nine.
An air and ground search was carried out on Monday afternoon and land searches are continuing into the night, Queensland police said.

The group had planned to go fishing at either Eight Mile Creek or Horse Island.
Anyone who has seen the group or spotted a white Toyota dual-cab ute in the area is urged to contact authorities.
