A seven-year-old South Australian boy has battled through a serious case of the hiccups to make it to the end of his rendition of the national anthem.

Ethan Hall was standing on the diamond at Cooper’s stadium in Adelaide on Friday when he started singing the anthem.

But he wasn’t far into it before the hiccups struck, and continued all the way through.

Ethan didn’t let it ruffle him, and bravely finished the song despite the interrutions.

Players and fans in the stadium gave him a hearty round of applause after the performance, with players high-fiving him as he left the field.

The Australian Baseball League shared a video of the performance on its Facebook page, writing, "Well done Ethan!"

A YouTube video of the performance has been viewed more than 300,000 times.
