Severe storm warning for southeast Qld

The Bureau of Meteorology has warned residents of the southern Darling Downs to prepare for severe storms, including strong winds and hailstones.

Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and large hailstones are likely to hit southeast Queensland.

The Bureau of Meteorology has warned residents of the southern Darling Downs to prepare for the storms to hit by 5.20pm on Wednesday.

The storms are predicted to hit southeast of Warwick before moving northeast to Murray Bridge, Oakington and Maryvale by 5.50pm.

A more general severe thunderstorm warning has also been issued for parts of the Darling Downs, Granite Belt and southeast coast districts.
