A severe weather warning has been issued for Western Australia's southwest, including Perth, with dangerous winds, damaging surf and abnormally high tides forecast.
The Bureau of Meteorology says a series of cold fronts will bring the wild conditions which will continue for Monday and Tuesday.
Winds of up to 110 km/h are possible along with thunderstorms and hail.
Cape Leeuwin recorded a wind gust of 109 km/h at 2.17am on Monday.
Emergency WA says the weather system is not unusual for this time of the year but could damage homes and make travel dangerous.
Fronts with such severity generally hit the WA southwest about five times each year.
Locations which may be affected include Albany, Bunbury, Busselton, Katanning, Mandurah, Manjimup, Margaret River, Moora, Mount Barker, Narrogin, Northam and Perth.
Damaging surf conditions could cause beach erosion between Denham and Israelite Bay.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is also expected with between 20 and 35 millimetres possible along the west coast, south of Geraldton.
