Sex offender registry conference in Melb

Sex offender experts from around Asia and the Pacific will meet in Melbourne to discuss strategies.

Child protection and sex offender experts are meeting in Melbourne to talk about the best way to manage sex offender registries.

Specialists in the fields of child protection, sex offender management and psychology will meet at The Sex Offenders Registry Asia Pacific Conference, starting on Wednesday.

"(We will) expand on our knowledge, learn about the latest advances and best practices," Victoria Police Deputy Commissioner Shane Patton said on Wednesday.
