Shailene Woodley not sure about Spider-Man

Shailene Woodley appears to have given up on a role in the next Spider-Man movie, insisting she isn't keen to feature in two franchise films at the same time.

The Divergent star briefly appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but her scenes were cut as director Marc Webb opted to introduce her character, Mary Jane Watson, in the next instalment of the film.

But now it looks as if he'll be recasting the role.

Woodley explains: "I don't know that I would even want to do franchises at this point, having been through this (Divergent)."

But the actress insists she had a great time on the Spider-Man set: "It was three days. It was nice ... because I got to work with Andrew Garfield, who's an incredible actor and just an all-around amazing human being."

Garfield stars in the Spider-Man sequel with his real-life girlfriend Emma Stone.
