South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi would relish another chance to bamboozle the Australian batsmen in next week's historic third cricket Test.
The tourists had a good look at the left-arm chinaman bowler in Saturday's one-day game against a Victorian XI.
The 26-year-old, who is yet to make his Test debut, bowled 12 overs in the trial game and took 4-72 to push his selection claims.
Shamsi has had a meteoric rise and in October took 3-36 at home in a one-dayer against Australia.
He is rapt with talk the Australians have struggled to pick some of his deliveries.
"That's a theory going around - you can't necessarily say it's a given thing, it's not a proven thing," he said.
"But I'm really happy with the way I've gone personally against them.
"Hopefully it continues."
While content with Saturday's bowling spell, Shamsi said it was up to others whether he played in Adelaide.
"If it comes, I will be happy. If it doesn't, the team is doing well," he said.
"I'm pleased with my own performance, but the most important thing is we came here to win the series.
"The guys have mentioned (that) our mission is not over yet.
"We want to try to win the series 3-0."
He admitted his rapid progression into the national Test squad had been surprising.
"It's been a crazy seven months for me personally, from playing in the B side to standing here at the MCG," he said.
Shamsi agrees there the pink ball potentially gives spin bowlers the chance to have a different Test role.
"The guys say that it's harder to pick the seam off the legspinners," he said.
"So maybe there's a difference, but that's not the be-all and end-all ... you still have to put the ball in the right areas.
"It definitely does wear a lot more than the red ball ... but it's not a train smash. I don't think it's too bad."
