Former tennis World No.1 Maria Sharapova has announced she failed a drug test at the Australian Open

Former World No.1 Maria Sharapova has announced she failed a drug test at the Australian Open.

She is one of just 10 women to complete the Career Grand Slam - winning Wimbledon, the Australian Open, US Open and French Open.

Sharapova has spent 21 weeks as world number one - currently ranked number seven.
