Shaun Marsh was creaming them: Bosisto

WA batsman Will Bosisto reckons he had the best seat in the house last week watching Shaun Marsh's masterclass, and he doesn't want to give up his priority viewing any time soon.

Bosisto watched on in awe as teammate Marsh tore South Australia to shreds with an unbeaten 163 in the Sheffield Shield match in Adelaide.

Marsh shared a 164-run stand with Bosisto to guide WA to a five-wicket victory.

Bosisto (58 off 189 balls) also played a crucial role in the win, with the important knock following on from his unbeaten 167 against Queensland last month.

But with Ashton Agar and Marcus Stoinis set to return from international duties for next week's Shield clash with NSW, Bosisto is no guarantee to hold his spot.

WA will go up against a Test-quality NSW bowling line-up that could feature Nathan Lyon, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazelwood and Mitchell Starc.

Bosisto is desperate to play in the fixture, which will be the first Shield match at Perth's 60,000 seat Optus Stadium.

"To see that on the calendar at the start of the year, you think, 'Geez, I want to be in there for that one'," Bosisto said.

"I guess you never really feel like you've cemented your spot in such a strong side with a lot of Australian players coming back in and out all the time.

"But I certainly feel as if my performances in the last couple of games will hold me in good stead."

Bosisto said Marsh's knock against South Australia was one of the best he's ever seen.

"I had the best seat in the house for a few hours watching Shaun bat," Bosisto said.

"He was unbelievable. It was a masterclass of controlled aggression.

"I was just playing my role up the other end, and hanging in as long as I could.

"There were times when I was at the non-striker's end thinking, 'I'm glad I'm not fielding at cover', because he was seriously creaming balls through there.

"They just put more and more blokes there and he just kept swinging harder and harder, and the ball was flying through."
