A devastated mother has described the moment her son held his dying wife in his arms, after she was crushed while on a ride at the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast.
Gillian Turner is the mother of David Goodchild, whose wife Kate and 12-year-old daughter Ebony were on the park's Thunder River rapids ride, when their raft flipped.
Ebony was miraculously thrown clear of the ride, but Kate was trapped and badly hurt.

In interviews screened on commercial television, Ms Turner said Mr Goodchild checked that his daughter was safe, before rushing to his wife's side.
Mr Goodchild had reportedly been holding their eight-month-old daughter Evie.
"My son managed to get to Kate who died in his arms with him and my granddaughter screaming and looking on," Ms Turner said.
"We are all numb and in shock. We cannot believe something like this could have happened. We are all helping each other as best we can and we are all grieving."
Ms Turner described Kate as a wonderful friend and mother who will be sorely missed.
"She was warmhearted, kind, generous, funny, quirky and she had lots of friends," she said.
Also killed in the same raft were Kate's brother Luke Dorsett and his partner Roozi Araghi.
Mother of two Cindy Low also died. Her 10-year-old son Kieran was on board, but was flung to safety.
Ms Turner said her family still has many unanswered questions about the tragedy.
"As far as I was aware, we heard nothing from Dreamworld," she said. "We can't understand. We want to find out what happened and why."
