* All Middle East-bound ships should have automated livestock watering systems during the northern hemisphere summer.
* All Middle East-bound vessels should have automated continuous environmental monitoring equipment installed from the 2019 northern hemisphere summer.
* All ships bound for "designated special zones" in the Middle East carry a refrigerated container to hold animal carcasses in port (or at sea).

* Company directors face 10 years in prison or $2.1 million fine.
* Individuals face 10 years prison and $420,000 fine.
* Companies face $4.2 million fine, three times the benefit gained or 10 per cent of company's annual turnover, whichever is greater.
