Sheeran pays tribute to Jonah Lomu

The crowd cheered when Ed Sheeran paid tribute to former All Black Jonah Lomu at his concert in Auckland.

Ed Sheeran has paid tribute to Jonah Lomu by wearing a No.11 All Blacks jersey at his concert in Auckland.

The crowd cheered when the British musician turned around after his first song at Mt Smart stadium to pick up another guitar, revealing the legend's number and name across his back.

Lomu died last month, aged 40, after a long battle with kidney disease.

Sheeran is now taking a break from touring and will have surgery after bursting an ear drum during a recent boating trip.
