Shipbuilder ASC has announced another round of redundancies, with 175 staff to lose their jobs by the end of October.
The company says it will offer some voluntary redundancies but there will also be forced job losses, with 100 contract workers and 75 permanent employees slated to depart.
"ASC stands ready, willing and able to take part in future shipbuilding projects and retains the ability to do so," a spokeswoman said on Wednesday.
