Video footage has emerged showing two women narrowly escaping death after they were caught on a railroad bridge in the US.
The footage, taken from the train’s security camera, shows the women trapped on the 80-foot high bridge in Indiana, Illinois, earlier this month.
The driver of the high-speed train can be heard sounding a horn at the women as the train moves closer and closer toward them.
The panicked women can be seen running - one tripping and almost falling off bridge - before the train crosses over them.
After grounding to a halt the driver called out to the women to see if they were OK, CNN reports.
Incredibly, the pair had survived.
One woman said she had stubbed her toe but they were otherwise unharmed after they laying down on the tracks and letting the train pass over them.
The women have been identified and will face trespassing charges.
