Shots fired into Sydney home: police

Police suspect a New Year's Eve shooting in the case of a home owner who returned from holidays to find bullet holes in his Sydney house.

A Sydney home owner has returned from Christmas holidays to find bullet holes in the front of his house.

Police believe the house, at Riverstone in Sydney's west, was shot at on New Year's Eve.

Officers were called in after the home owner came back from holidays on Monday to find the damage.

Police haven't received any reports of injury.
