West Coast's Luke Shuey has shrugged off injury concerns and the star midfielder has pulled up well after rolling an ankle against Melbourne.

Shuey sent a scare through the Eagles camp when he limped from Optus Stadium in obvious pain during the second quarter of his side's stunning 66-point AFL preliminary final win on Saturday.

But he was able to return and finished with 21 disposals.

The 28-year-old may need to modify his training loads this week, but he is in no doubt for the grand final against Collingwood.

"The ankle has pulled up well ... I actually think sometimes if you play on a sore ankle it can end up doing it good because it flushes it out and gets it moving again," Shuey told 3AW on Sunday.

"I went and saw the doctor this morning and I'm looking to try to train on Tuesday or Wednesday.

"It shouldn't be an issue."

Shuey is one of 12 current Eagles who were part of the side that suffered a 46-point defeat at the hands of Hawthorn in the 2015 grand final.

He's counting on that painful experience to be a positive against the Pies.

"It was the first grand final for a lot of us and I think we probably got caught up in the excitement of the week and the emotion," he said.

"It probably got to us a it on the day but we played a bloody good team.

"... (But) if you get ack to a grand final you don't have to deal with all the emotion of it being your first time around and not knowing what to expect.

"So it's handy in that regard."
