Shun fossil fuel cash to parties: Greens

The Greens says political donations from the fossil fuel lobby compromise decisions around tackling global warming.

The Greens are urging the major parties to boycott political donations from the fossil fuel lobby.

Leader Richard Di Natale said the donations should be shunned in a similar way Labor and the Liberal parties no longer accept money from tobacco companies.

"What it will mean is that we see that money compromise decisions around what's required when it comes to tackling dangerous global warming," he told ABC Radio on Wednesday.
